TCR goes hill climbing – a new touring car series aims to conquer hill climbing racing in Europe
The TCR touring car series is booming. In addition to World and European Championships, there are also numerous national TCR series which are extremely popular. China, Thailand, Russia, Great Britain, and Portugal all have series. And yes, even Switzerland will have its own TCR Swiss Trophy as part of TCR Germany from this season on. But that's not all. In 2019, the TCR is also conquering hill climbing racing!

Together with promoter BZ Consult, Auto Sport Switzerland will organise the "ASS TCR Hill Climb Series" in Europe. The competition is an official, international FIA-approved racing series. The calendar includes six events with the venues deliberately chosen to host the races in Central Europe; in countries where an affinity to TCR is guaranteed. The "ASS TCR Hill Climb Series" can be expanded to include eight events in the future.
Interested drivers are invited to enroll between now and the 18th of April 2019 for the entire season or individual events. The number of participants is not limited. The goal is to have up to 20 TCR cars in the series in three to five years’ time.
The following six events are scheduled in the 2019 calendar and approved by the organisers:
