The absolute protagonist is the Lancia brand, with the extraordinary Lancia Flaminia Loraymo (1960) - a one-of-a-kind model belonging to the Stellantis Heritage collection and usually displayed at the Heritage Hub in Turin - and the spirited Ypsilon Rally4 HF race car, which marks the return to motorsport for the most successful brand in the history of rally, with 10 World Rally Constructors' Championships, three World Endurance Constructors' Championships, a 1000 Miglia, two Targa Florio, and one Carrera Panamericana.
Just a few weeks ago, Gianandrea Pisani and Nicola Biagi, on their debut in the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF in the Italian Absolute Rally Championship (CIAR), wrote a new page in Lancia's motorsport history. In addition to the title of Lancia Trophy 2025 Champions, the talented new duo won the prestigious title of Italian Champions of the CIAR 2-Wheel Drive, bringing back a tricolor success that had been missing from the brand since 1993.
Elegance, performance, and deep roots in the territory. These are the ingredients that unite the brand's glorious sporting tradition and its new identity, projected toward the future. They are the same elements that will animate the rich calendar of the Festival Car 2025. The day will open with the Tour d’Elegance, a spectacular parade that will see the 80 registered cars gather at 9 a.m. at the Royal Castle of Moncalieri, a UNESCO site and the traditional starting point of the Concorso. From there, the cars will travel through the scenic landscapes of the Turin hills, offering the public a fascinating journey along winding roads and evocative views, until they reach Revigliasco. The winners of the competition will be chosen by a high-profile jury made up of prominent figures in international car design. Among the most anticipated names is Roberto Giolito, Head of Stellantis Heritage, a benchmark for the protection and enhancement of Italian automotive heritage.
Lancia Flaminia Loraymo
The Lancia Flaminia Loraymo (1960) is a true style icon, born from the creative genius of American designer Raymond Loewy, one of the most influential of the 20th century, famous for creating timeless icons like the Coca-Cola bottle with its white logo or the Lucky Strike emblem. The designer conceived the car for his personal use and entrusted its construction to the Turin coachbuilder Rocco Motto, with technical collaboration from Nardi. The result was a futuristic coupé with innovative aerodynamic solutions and an unmistakable "smiling" grille. Presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1960, the car immediately drew attention for its unconventional details and innovative aerodynamic solutions. After being used extensively by Loewy in both Europe and the United States, the car returned to Italy thanks to the president of the Lancia Club of America, who decided to donate it to the brand. Since then, it has been preserved as one of the most precious jewels of the Heritage Hub in Turin, the exhibition space located inside the former Officina 81 in Mirafiori, where over 300 cars tell the story and future of the Italian automobile, enriching the “Concepts and Fuoriserie” section. The Lancia Flaminia Loraymo will not only be present at the event but will also become its absolute symbol: it is the focal point of the official poster for the Festival Car 2025, created in collaboration with IED Torino and selected through a dedicated competition. The winning image celebrates the unmistakable silhouette of the one-off coupé, transforming it into the event's visual manifesto. The same car was also chosen for a teasing video released on social media channels: after a tune-up at the Officine Classiche, the Loraymo leaves the Heritage Hub in Mirafiori to begin its journey to Revigliasco, anticipating what will happen on the day of the event.
Ypsilon Rally4 HF
Unveiled at the start of 2024, the Rally4 is the highest performance version of the new-generation Ypsilon: a race car developed for the FIA Rally4 category, which instantly sets itself apart for its perfect balance of power and traction, responsiveness in changing directions, and stability at high speeds. Designed for ambitious private drivers and professional teams - with a special emphasis on operating costs - the Ypsilon Rally4 HF proudly bears the iconic HF logo with the red elephant. In particular, the spirited vehicle was created out of the collaboration between Lancia, the most successful brand in the rally world, and the Stellantis Motorsport team, which boasts 11 victories at Dakar and 27 Constructors’ titles in the World Championship Rally. The vehicle has also been enhanced by a distinctly Italian DNA thanks to prestigious partnerships between Lancia and some of the most famous premium brands in the racing world. Under the hood, the 212-hp 1.2 Turbo engine proved itself to be powerful, smooth, and perfectly paired with a SADEV 5-speed gearbox. To cap it all off, it also features high-performance tires from the MICHELIN Pilot Sport range, two for dry asphalt and one for wet asphalt, all of which are available in 19/63-17 dimensions. Moreover, since its first competition, the race car has wowed the public with its corner entry, its effectiveness when braking in the most technical sections, and its ability to instill trust in the driver even during the most challenging conditions. Its winning formula lies in combining a light yet incredibly rigid chassis, McPherson suspensions with Ohlins 3-way adjustable shock absorbers, and a top-of-the-line braking system with 330-mm ventilated disc brakes. Furthermore, the front-wheel drive was pushed to its full potential thanks to the mechanical limited-slip differential and a refined setup that allowed for late braking and aggressive acceleration. Moreover, for the fine-tuning of the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, the Italian brand looked to Miki Biasion, a true motorsports legend who, between the 80s and 90s, became inextricably linked to Lancia and went on to become the most successful Italian driver in history. Lastly, it should be noted that Lancia’s return to rally is part of a broader industrial and cultural plan, leveraging motorsport as a strategic laboratory for technical innovation, the development of young talent, and the reinforcement of the brand’s identity. The relaunch of the historic HF logo also fits within this context. Always a symbol of Lancia’s boldest vehicles, it is back and ready to take a central role in the brand’s vision of the future. Indeed, HF will become the defining feature of all the high-performance versions within the new Lancia lineup, starting with the brand-new 280-hp Ypsilon HF and the Ypsilon HF Line Hybrid. The former is the full-electric, high-performance road version that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and delivers superior agility thanks to its limited-slip differential. Meanwhile, the latter brings the HF language to more affordable powertrains while preserving the legendary line’s style and recognizability. The two new releases are already available for order: the Ypsilon HF Line is now in showrooms, while the 280-hp Ypsilon HF will make its debut on roads after the summer.
