With the compact Junior Ibrida Q4 sports car on show in Piazza Castello reigning over the Motor Show, two other events saw the New 33 Stradale dominate the stage: at MAUTO, alongside its legendary 1967 forerunner, and at the fourth 2025 Car Festival with participation in the triumphant parade from Moncalieri Castle to the village of Revigliasco, greeted by an enthusiastic crowd. Both events paid homage to the eternal charm of vintage motoring and its ability to regenerate itself in the present day, consecrating the 33 Stradale as an icon of Italian beauty and sportiness.
For the first time since its debut, the Biscione brand's new custom-built car was admired together with the iconic 33 Stradale, usually kept at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, at the National Automobile Museum in Turin. The temporary exhibition of these two Made in Italy gems fits in perfectly with the collection at MAUTO, founded in 1933 by Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia. The museum houses over 200 original cars from 80 brands from the steam-powered carriages of the 19th century to contemporary prototypes. The Documentation Center and the Conservation and Restoration Center also guarantee the daily protection and enhancement of a heritage like no other in the world.
Designed by Franco Scaglione and produced in just 18 units, the 1967 33 Stradale is considered one of the most beautiful cars ever made: sensual lines, purity of proportions, a formal balance that continues to stand as a true benchmark in automotive design. Certain frames were used for visionary prototypes such as the Carabo and the Iguana, both decades ahead of style trends in the industry. Directly derived from the Tipo 33 racing car, with which Alfa Romeo returned to racing in 1967, the 33 Stradale brought to the road motorsport performance combined with comfort and everyday usability, making it a genuine legend that could influence generations of enthusiasts and designers.
The New 33 Stradale – created two years ago with the same boldness in mind – was produced at the new Alfa Romeo “Bottega,” where designers, engineers and the 33 owners have worked together on a unique and unrepeatable work. Made according to artisan processes and using cutting-edge technologies, the two-seater coupé represents the perfect combination of heritage and future. Combined with its breathtaking lines is a 630-hp twin-turbo V6 engine that offers exceptional performance: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds and a top speed of 333 km/h. The roar of its engine that has bewitched onlookers and fans of the Tour d'Elégance at the Car Festival, a spectacular parade that took place along an evocative hilly itinerary of approximately 7 km, from the Royal Castle of Moncalieri to the village of Revigliasco, passing the Basilica of Superga. A triumphant catwalk that consecrated the New 33 Stradale as the true star of the event, to the amazement of the crowd and the enthusiastic applause of thousands of people.
